I am sure you, as are all of us, are looking for way to give you immune system a leg up during these uncertain times. Well here are a list of foods you can add to your diet to give you those extra vitamin! This list does not include the tried and true citrus fruits, garlic and ginger. Although it wouldn’t hurt to have each of those such be added in good measure! This list if comprised of a few other vegetables and fruit that may not come to mind:
- Bell Peppers: These festive (botanical) fruits pack a punch when it comes to vitamin C. They can contain twice as much as citrus fruits! As an added bonus they are a great source of Beta carotene, which helps your eyes and skin stay healthy.
- Broccoli: These aren’t a staple vegetable for no reason. This guy is full of vitamin A, C, and E along thing antioxidants and plenty of fiber. While it may not be everyone’s preference, the most beneficial was to eat it is raw.
- Papaya: This fruit is bursting with vitamin C! A single papaya can have 224% of the daily recommended value. They also contain potassium, B vitamin and folate all of which support overall health.
- Kiwis: This little fruit has Folate, potassium, vitamin K, and vitamin C.
